Mono Tone...

I always like to do mono tone and this time I will try with Tilda...

Look at the image, the first colour that came into my mind is brown...it a bit boring colour and I just like it as I can distress it more :)

This is a simple card and is as easy as ABC...like the background paper. This embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, just roll over with my EpicSix, distress it...that's it...

The pirate Tilda, I used my favourite colour pencil from Caran D'ache, blend with Sansodor. It is easy to do mono tone cause you no need to think of what colour should I dress for her and how about other accessories... :) is good for lazy people like me :)

Grunge Paper Rose...

I would like to say sorry that I unable to snap the photo while I was doing the rose, firstly I was too excited, secondly my hands are so dirty to touch on my camera...and thirdly I think I need to hire a camera man...hahaha

Anyway I will share with you how Tom Holtz made his and please click HERE to get the steps and you can make your own roses...

I do not have many flowers stamp and specially those with 6 petals...when I wanted to give up I saw that I have a clear stamp from Hero Arts...and hey...after counting it has 6 petals... :)

I stamp 3 images on the grunge paper the cut it out. It is easy to cut, just follow the lines.

After that I spray with Tattered Angels...as you know I have many colours of them...so I just spray and spray and spray...mixing with many blue, red and brown tone of colours.

And the picture shown are the after I have completed the "cocktail mixing"...

Here is the close up wet look of the flower. Tim Holtz used the perfect pearls and distress re-inker...but I found out that using Tattered Angels will save lots of hassles...easy that applied the distress ink with a sponge...just spray and spray...heheheh...

For the rest of the steps, I just follow his instruction and here it is...the rose...

I follow Tim Holtz to apply a layer of Rock Candy as the touch up and the rose will stay on glossy and shinning...

I really like the grunge paper...It so durable than normal paper...start to make your own now...

In Love with Grunge Paper...

I just bought the Tim Holtz's Grunge Paper from Made With Love so today I made it into 3D flowers and butterflies on my altered notebook.

Immediately I fall in love with this grunge paper and it is so easy to use. I like the texture of the paper as it was so easy to shape the petals of the flowers and it more durable than normal paper. No wonder so many people use this for flower embellishment.

I bought a new note book from bookshop and I turn into this as a birthday gift for Jill. I used the paper from DCWV-Rustic stack and as you know I like this stack a lot.

After I stamped the flowers and butterflies on the grunge paper, I used distress ink to colour them and shaped them into the way that I want.

Letters used are from QuicKutz Diesel and stamps are mostly from Hero Arts.

These flowers stamp is a free stamp from Crafty Stamper magazine...I like this magazine and it a must have magazine every month :)

Background stamp is from Hero Art...

And finally I spray the Tattered Angels - Pearl to complete the whole creation.

I hope she like this little gift that I made for her.

Watercolour on Tilda...

Yup...these are the two Magnolia that I have used water-colouring...

Such a long time I have abandon my water-colouring skill and lucky I am still able to control the colour quite well.

Well...I will continue with other image and stay tune to look out more...

My Hero...

Who is my Hero???

Yes...answer is my dear Mr. Bear :)

I made another card for coming father's day and this time I'm using only Quickutz and embossing...no stamping at all.

This is from the paper doll series, medieval time is my hero's favourite...I think that is why he is my hero...hee hee...

Very simple card, just need to roll the EpicSix.

This is my first time making a card without rubber stamp.

JDA Father's Day Card Competition

This is the 1st competition from JDA this year and is a Father's Day card.

This very challenging and it is not easy to think of what stamps, papers and embellishment to use.

Honestly, I used more than a week to think of the layout and the whole idea of it...like how to match...but when I started it, my sketch become useless as things keep changing and inspiration comes one after another one.

It is quite lucky that I got these stamp in time, and they are from JudiKins.

I don't know how many distress ink colours I have used, I have no idea that how many different colours of Tattered Angels that I have used too...is like cocktail mixing to me... :)

At last it so good to see the finished product...phewwww...

I coloured the butterfly with my favourite colour pencil Caren D'ache with Sansodor for colour blending.

I stamped the compass three times to make into 3 layers and each layer I sprayed with different colour of Tattered Angels.

Wording die cuts are from QuicKutz - Diesel.

The two wooden keys I bought it from China Town at one of the button shop. This shop is very interesting, they sell lots of different buttons, from metal to plastic, from plastic to metal...all come with different shapes. Do visit there when you have free time, you will definitely enjoy the shopping.

I used Distress Ink - Vintage Photo to colour the wooden keys and once they dried, I applied a layer of All Purpose Ink from Tsukineko to get the shimmering effect.

Making this card is not the matter to win the competition or not, it is my passion when making it. While I'm making it I think of my father, to me my father, he is a super hero. He is so special and a creative person. Of course not to forget me beloved mummy as well on this special Mother's Day, she is also a wonderful mother to me, without them I won't be able to enjoy my life now...

I love you Mum and Dad, miss you so much...♥♥♥

When Judikins meets Hero Arts...

I got the Angel and Celtic background stamp from JDA just a few hours ago and my inspiration just flow out from my brain...that is really fast...

This is a simple card that I just need 30mins to complete.

Very simple colouring, what you need the most is distress ink and a sponge. Just rub and rub and rub the distress colours that you like onto the Angel image.

Lastly I touched up the card with straw string, a butterfly from Hero Arts and spray with pearl Tattered Angels...yes angel again :P

Mod Podge Project - Door Hanger

Using the latest clear stamp from Hero Arts to decorate this door hanger. These series of stamps is so fun to play with and you can create lot of interesting project.

I choose to use the pattern paper from Graphic 45 for this distress project.

Distress inks used are Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Broken China.

This is the door hanger chipboard that I bought from Spotlight.

Only at $1.75 each...good deal right?

I used the All Purpose Ink from Tsukineko to paint the edge just to cover the wood base colour.

The back.

The front side before the layout. Once you glue the pattern paper on to the door hanger, don't forget to sand all the edges so that you will gave the smooth surface at the cutting edge.

After completed all the layout, I paint the crackle paint onto the wording and do a mess spray of the Tattered Angel...pearl is the most ideal colour to choose for final touch up.

Happy Labour Day...and National Scrapbook Day...

Blue blue blue...distress can be any colours...but I did counter that most of the time I only think about brown and vintage brown.

Using these new series of Hero Arts rubber stamps, I really enjoy so much that I can tried with different style and colours of distress.

If you like to do distress art then don't miss this series of stamp from Hero Arts.

The flowers that I used originally is white and I used the method from Irene and I really like the result and in future I buy stock up more white colour flowers so that I can change it to the colours that I like.
