Thinking of You...

Here is my another Magnolia creation with the sketch from Bev.

I only used a piece of pattern pattern paper and with this I match with Cuttlebug embossing folder as the background.

I have lot of different design of these embossing folder and each one is very unique, you can create your own background and coloured by distress ink.

Here Come the Pirate...Edwin

Using the Magnolia for this layout and I just found out that the barrel and the anchor stamps are just nice to match the layout.

While I making this card, I was thinking of my unborn baby...seems like I'm making this card for him and I really feel that way...

Paper used are all from DCWV and as usual my colouring is from Caren D'ache colour pencil. I just like this theme and it is not really hard to make a card for a boy or man, just apply the rule of no flowers and ribbon...

I Like Butterfly

This big butterfly stamp is from Judith Kins and is one of my favourite butterfly stamp. It is easy to use and it suits my distress and vintage style.

Other than Judith Kins, I used French Letters from Hero Arts as the background of the butterfly. The inks that I used basically is based on 3 distress colours and it looks more "clean" than my usual distress project. The Distress ink colours are Mustard Seed, Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade.

The lace that I used is from Daiso the $2.00 shop and originally it was white in colours and I used my "cocktail mixing" from Tattered Angels...so now from white it turns into vintage brown. Next time if you buy flowers, laces or ribbon, you can choose more to white base so that you can turn into the colours that you like.

Overall, I like this masterpiece, it is a simple and nice layout from Sketch Saturday.

Will continue my another distress journey...enjoy...

I'm Back With Magnolia

It has been a while I was away card making. My life was busy with cooking, baking and preparing for my new born.

After reading the Magnolia Magazine, my inspiration is back and here is my creation. Distress is always my favourite technique that I like to use in most of my project.

For this card, I have used my first own Tim Holtz's rubber stamp together with Tilda. I just like the stamped tags and it is very easy to match with any theme.

I hope to have another creation soon with my new added stamps...

Mono Tone...

I always like to do mono tone and this time I will try with Tilda...

Look at the image, the first colour that came into my mind is brown...it a bit boring colour and I just like it as I can distress it more :)

This is a simple card and is as easy as ABC...like the background paper. This embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, just roll over with my EpicSix, distress it...that's it...

The pirate Tilda, I used my favourite colour pencil from Caran D'ache, blend with Sansodor. It is easy to do mono tone cause you no need to think of what colour should I dress for her and how about other accessories... :) is good for lazy people like me :)

Happy Labour Day...and National Scrapbook Day...

Blue blue blue...distress can be any colours...but I did counter that most of the time I only think about brown and vintage brown.

Using these new series of Hero Arts rubber stamps, I really enjoy so much that I can tried with different style and colours of distress.

If you like to do distress art then don't miss this series of stamp from Hero Arts.

The flowers that I used originally is white and I used the method from Irene and I really like the result and in future I buy stock up more white colour flowers so that I can change it to the colours that I like.

Stampavie and More - Challenge #92 Distressing

These stamps are from Hero Arts and they are so cool...

The moment I saw the stamp in the catalogue, I already have the distress idea in my mind. And now here is my result of distress.

I used Distress Ink to do the colouring, a bit of water colour effect and the colours are so outstanding.

The background pattern paper is from DCWV - The Crafty stack, you can see the antique sewing machine and some sewing tools...its just match my stamps.

This is my power of distress... :) distress from office work.

Friday Sketch- Sketch 99

I bought the pattern long time ago from Made with Love, this is from Flair Designs. This morning I found out that this pattern paper so match with my rubber stamp design Fish Dreams from Penny Black 1998.

I like the wording, I wish I may...I wish I might...

Again, I'm using blue and green to match the paper as well as my colouring, I like the layout and really enjoy making the card.

Here is the inside of the card and you can see how I like to use my new bought embossing folder with the distress ink. I'm a kind of hook on to this embossing folder and seems like I will try to use it in most of my card making.

For this card, I have slightly improved on my edge distress and the colours spread so evenly. I need to have more practice.

Friday Sketch - Challenge #97

Once I decided the colors of pattern papers to match for the layout, I just use less than 20mins to complete it. Recently I like to use the leaves and to go with the flower embellishment, I just like the combination with more than just greenery and yet with some orange and yellows...

I have to do another rounds of shopping to get some roses and leaves to go with my upcoming project as my stock level is running low...

Making a simple card on a simple Sunday...have fun...

Zero Distress...

Is this my way of making a card...with zero distress at all...and on my I couldn't believe that I can make it happen.

The whole card look so clean and nest to me but I just like it. Is another different style from me yah...

This time round I used How Sweet You Are from Sarah Kay and pattern paper wise I can't remember is from which manufacturing as I bought it for quite some time from Made With Love.

I enjoy this sketch and hope to try more with Zero Distress again...

I'm using a very tone on the image and this time round instead of stitching the border I replaced it with stamping. The border stamping is from MSE - Swirls.

No flowers but added with some gems stone and distress...

Friday Sketchers - Sketch #92

Brown is always my favourite colour and for this challenge I decided to make a card with just the tone of brown. I enjoyed the colouring and this pattern paper is quite easy to match as I have the pattern paper stack from DCWV - Rustic. This stack of paper is a "must have" if you like to do vintage or distress way. I have used Rustic to make my postcard album and scrapbook.

The wording stamps are from Penny Black, and Dreams Come True is my latest collection and is a wood mount rubber stamp.

Flowers embellishments are from Hero Arts.

This card looks simple but it took my whole Saturday morning to complete it...but yet this is one of my favourites.

Stamp with Fun - Challenge #44

Today is the 1st day of February, Chinese New Year is drawing near, just less than 2 weeks. So far I have not prepared anything yet for this yearly event including the Chinese New Year Card...what a shame right.

Anyway I had prepared this non-traditional Chinese New Year card for my best friend who is currently far away from me. I choose this rubber stamp for is to cheer her up as this little girl wearing a very colourful dress. I want her to have a colourful life and not always in black and white or just grey.

I have a message for her: "when you are down, you are not always down, good things will come to you soon".

This stamp is from Penny Black 1998 series call Friendly Chat. Penny Black has lots of nice stamp from 1998 and thanks to JDA in helping to collect the series as many as possible.

I used green as base colour cause this is one of my little girl friend's favourite colour. The paper flowers are from Hero Arts, and pattern paper is from Cosmo Cricket, is a two-sided paper.

I hope I can post this in time for her and I wish her a Happy Chinese New Year, a Tiger year with power.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Special Someone

Such a long time I have abandoned my stamps, inkpads, pattern papers...and now this is my first craft work in 2010.

This lovely stamp is from Penny Black - Heart Garland and is the new release.

I made this card specially for my husband who is away for business trip now. I miss him so much and hope that he is able to come back home by next week.

I really like this card a lot, first of all is the bear, yes the bear, cause my dear hubby is my comfort bear. Secondly, I put the clock here, and this means the time that I'm waiting for him...♥

The little bear is thinking of the big bear...

Material used: Paper from Basic Grey and Graphic 45, Stamp from Penny Black and I think the clock is from Maya...

I have pasted this card in my bedroom and now just to wait for my dear hubby to view it when he is back...

I completed this card in less than 1 hour and I just found that the color was so easy to match with the team and the layout...

This card is specially made for my mentor and just would like to say Thank You to her guidance.

RED and GOLD

This is a simple card that I made, a bit of not my usual style but yet I like the combination of Red and Gold.

Recently I like to add lot of dies cutting in my card and I really enjoy the art of the die cut. I used the leaves and Christmas Bell to decorate the cards and add the snow flakes embossing as the background.

I will send this card to my dearest friend and wish her Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...

Friday Sketcher - Sketch 82

This is one of my fav Penny Black Stamp, new release and is a cling stamp. This stamp was brought by Erland and he wanted to send this to Andrew's mother.

Erland did the coloring and I help to do some touch up here.

This card instead of using the flower I choose to use the ornament, this ornament is from QuicKutz and I used it to match with DCWV Christmas pattern paper.

Hope that Andrew's mom will like and this red color is her favorite color...

Sending Birthday Wishes...

I managed to get this old stamp from JDA, and this is from Penny Black. This time round I tested the new Epicsix embossing and the result is very satisfying...not regret to own it...

Again the coloring method is using color pencil with blending agent Sansodor, I think I'm more comfortable with this method and is easy to control the colors and tones.

I'm using the new embossing powder from American Craft, the one that I used was Chestnut and I just like the effect. One good thing about this new embossing powder is very clean and you wont get mess around when pouring the powder. Is another must have items.

I'm done with this card and will be sending this card to a Birthday Girl tomorrow, Jo...

Challenge - Stamp Something

Brown

First of all, welcome me back to Fusion of Arts...is has been a while I'm away from my craft work. Feel good to be back here.

This is the 1st X'mas card that I did for this year and I used mostly stamping method by using Hero Art collage stamp and also Penny Black's Music Background. The paper that I used is DCWV and this was last year's release. I like this paper as I can use the different cuts here to bring up the vintage feels.

I like this distress and vintage methods that I applied here, is very different as most of the time when doing a X'mas I will only think about red, green, blue and white.

And of course I won't forget the reindeer from QuicKutz, I used reindeer cos of Santa...both of them are together...right?

I'm looking forward to my next project...hopefully I can squeeze some time from my busy schedule.
