My First Whiff of Joy

I'm so happy that finally I owned this stamp. I cannot get WOJ over in Singapore so I had made the order thru Simon Says Stamp and I just got it on last Friday.
This is one of the very rare simple card that I have made so far but I really enjoy making throughout the whole evening. I also realised that I have improved in my coloring maybe because of this nice stamp...I feel more distress now.
Since I still have a few more WOJ's stamp, I'm going to enjoy myself for the coming long weekends...yes...

The Moment in Botanical Garden

I specially made this album for one of my good friend.  That day she suggested to me to have branch at Botanical Garden and this sound very interesting to me so I join her there.  We have a wonderful day and we end with a nice steamboat dinner

We took lots of photos and I wanted to make her this album so that she can keep it.

Here I bought these wood board album from Spotlight and this wood boards are from KaiserCraft.  First before I glued on the pattern paper I used the sand paper to sand all the corners and sharp ends.  After that I applied a layer of bright copper all purpose ink from Tsukineko round all the edges of the boards.

After all these completed I paste the pattern paper with Mod Podge from Plaid.

This is the cover.

My First Mini Album

This is my first mini album and of course I used my brother in law's photo again for experiments...heehee...

At first I tried not to use any flowers for embellishment but after all it looks so plain and I decided to add some so that it looked more "rich".  So I used most of my distress florwer from Hero Arts and some I made my own.

This album killed my weekends and I spent most of my time just to complete it.  However, I'm happy with the final result and the most important things is he likes it...ya...other wise he will blame for cropping his photo..haha...

After I completed this album I decided to make another one for girls, no guys for this time because it was so difficult to match colors and embellishment.  What do you think?

Front Cover.  This is for his Jakarta trip.

The flowers are from Hero Arts and I stamped it on Basic Grey pattern paper.

Back Cover.

The black paper is for him to write journal...but I don't think he will write lo...cos he is a bit kind of lazy lo...lol

M for Mother' Day

Do you like this card?  I used twice of my effort to make this card and I'm going to use it for JDA (Junior De Artist) Mother's Day card challenge...

But I won't hope for 1st prize...which is SGD500 vouchers...because there are so many people who will be more expert and experience than me.  But is ok as long as I'm enjoying myself in the whole process of this card making.  My first admirer was my brother-in-law and he have gave me some comment and suggestion to improve the design of this card.  Thanks ya Erland...

I used this stamp before and I really like this old Stampendous stamp, I like to use it again and again...
I hope I can grab more on these old stamps...

I made this glossy swirl flowers and this is easy to do.  Firstly I stamp it with Versafine Crimson Red and follow by rubbing the All Purpose Ink on top.  After all the ink dried I applied a layer of Glossy Accents from Rangers.  Once the the Glossy Accent dried you will have that 3-D effects.

Make Your Own Felt

After you use the die-cut tool cut out the shape, you peel the right side paper so that you can apply the fun flocks on top.

Here is how it looked like after peeling the paper.

Apply the fun flocks on the sticky side and press the flocks on the chipboard.

And here is the final result...easy to do right?

Saturday Challenge - Strips
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Dawnys Sketch #12

This card is very fun to make because I tried with a new technique here.  I used the double-sided adhesive chipboard from QuicKutz to cut out the alphabet and applied the fun flocks on one side of the chipboard.  Very simple to do make and this is like a DIY felt feel alphabet.

You can try this chipboard with any dies that you like, you can attach pattern paper to one then die cut and stick directly on you card without any extra gluing...so simple right.  you may visit the QuicKutz website for more information.

Hope you will enjoy yourself with the new technique here.  I will post the tutorial shortly.

Go Travel...

Friday Sketchers - 46

First of all I must say that this card Magic sure like it...because this is her dream, travel and travel...

I use the new release Penny Black rubber stamp - Jet Setter for this challenge.  For the background I added some some self stamp pattern paper to enhance the travel "feel"...and these stamps are all from Hero Arts 12" clear stamps.

I hope that I can travel like her as well...hopefully by ended of the year ne...
E.A.S.T.E.R.

Hey!  Easter is just round the corner and I just created this card to celebrate the Good Friday.  To match with the bunny I had choose green colors and this give more feel of the arrival of spring spirits.

Do you like the fonts that I'm using?  Yes, this is the new font from QuicKutz, I just got it from JDA.  This font called Rainbow and it came with 4x8 all-on-one die, very easy and convenient to use.

The bunny that I used was from Penny Black's clear stamp - Garden Friends, they are so cute and I'm going to use them to make some more cards.
Group Challenge

After being quite for sometime, here is my work for the Yahoo Group.  This time is using the sketch from Ying and I really enjoy it, further more she will be the one who receive my card as well.

I need to do my best for this card   so I choose this old stamp from Stampendous called Friends in All Sizes product of year 1996.  I am a bear person and I like this stamp once Freddy showed it to me.  I match the stamp with my favourite color...which is blue.

I hope Ying likes this card and hope that she can organised more of this card challenge.
