Recycle...

I'm turning this plastic container into a gift for one of my friend.  I got it from my last Christmas project the binder clips for the notepad and I just kept it to redecorate.

Here is the turn-over...

I cover the inner layer as well so that you cant see the original sticker.

This is the add-on embellishment...

I have not completed yet because I am still thinking of adding something on top but I can't decide what to add at the moment.

Let me think of it and I will come back again...
Tutorial - Multi Fold Card

I used the 12"X12" two sided pattern paper cut  into 12"x9.5"

Fold the corner on the top left (Fold smaller)  and bottom right (Fold Bigger).

Fold the top left over to the to right.

Fold the bottom part upward.

And now it look likes a folder.

You can start to decorate the page.

Multi Fold Card

This is my first multi fold card and it is so simple to make.  I will recommend you to use two sided paper as this will come out with a better result.

The pattern paper that I used is from Fiskars and I bought this from Spotlight...I think so...

At first I wanted to enter Penny Black's challenge but I was too late to enter.  Actually the card was completed on Thursday, I just need to do the tags and some Stickles tou-up...but...I was hooked up with my new Nintendo on Friday...
Heh heh...I got my new Nintendo on Friday from my husband and from then on I'm busy with charging it, loading games and of course play it...

Till today then I managed to complete it because I need to pass it my friend tomorrow for her orders.

This is my first Penny Black stamp and I still remember that when I was still young to card making and rubber stamping.  I'm still keep learning from everyone.

This is how it looked like...I will show your the tutorial on how to fold it...

Wedding Bell Shoe

Sketch Saturday - Sketch #30

Yes...is a wedding card and was requested by my friend.
I used Stampendous's Wedding Bell Shoe for the theme and matched it with Sketch Saturday's Challenge.
I embossed the shoe with gold powder and color with Brushables from ZIG.
Paper used were from Basic Grey and DCWV.
I add on Stickles on top the shoe and the ring.

I have a few of these similar stamp with different theme from Stampendous and I order all these through JDA.  For my next card I'm going to use another for birthday and the stamp is call "You Take The Cake - Happy Birthday"...stay tune ne...

I wish all my family, friends  and all visitors a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year...

Card for a Man...

Papertake Weekly Challenge - Dawnys Sketch #5

I find it is quite difficult to make a card for a man, do you agree?
I choose blue color as the base color and is more man compare to other colors and of course not pink and purple.
Anyway blue is my favourite color and I really enjoy the whole process of this card making, from matching the pattern paper, coloring till putting on the embellishment.
I did a bit of stamping technique here and less in using Stickles and glitters because I don't want the card looks so girlish.
mmm...I got 3 more cards to complete...

Back to Card Making...

Friday Sketches 33

Yes, I'm back to card making again...
I just received a few order today and decided to start with the Friday Sketchers.
I like the gift tag idea and it works out nicely with the Magnolia stamp.

I don't have any Magnolia stamp at all because I can't really get one from Singapore and further is quite hard to purchase online as some of the shipment doesn't include Singapore.

However, I have Ying here, she is the Magnolia DT and she have stamped a few image for me and I used them to create my card.  I'm planning to purchase the item and hopefully I can own the stamp soon.

The pattern paper that I used is from SEI and is two sided paper.
The gift tag that I used is a pre-cut tag from QuicKutz where I bought it from JDA, $1.00 for a packet and each packet there are two in it.

I made the stamped image pop-up from tag and completed with the Happy Birthday from Hero Arts.

And here is another cute birthday card for a 19yrs old girl.

The Takashimaya vouchers...

Christmas is just around the corner and everybody is busy with buying and wrapping the gift.  I just completed my shopping and the last in my list is to buy Takashimaya shopping voucher for my brother-in-law, Erland and his buddy Andrew.

I specially made the envelope for the voucher and I pick this GCD Studios pattern paper from Made With Love.  Is a two sided pattern paper and I decided to make use of the both sides.  They just love it and of course the voucher as well, each envelope is one hundred dollars...so they can make their shopping trip already...

OK, well good luck to all of you and here I'm wishing all of you Merry Christmas and Happy New Year...

More and More

This week is the most productive week for me because I'm rushing to complete the enough numbers of the coaster as a Christmas for my work colleague.

And finally I managed to complete all by yesterday and I had distributed all in the office today.  Such a relief and I hope that they will it.

When I first look at this stamp, I straight away think of making an ancient map base on the map and now it is just nice to fit in this 3.5" x 3.5" coaster.  After I finished with the map stamping I realised that the map look a bit empty and pale, so I decided to add the colors of the sea and land.  I'm not using any color pencils or watercolors but I used distress ink and cut n dry foam instead.  Surprisingly it turned up with an amazing effect and so blend in with the background.  Good try ne...
I wanted to try the new Hero Arts shadow ink and that is why the whole piece of Seahorse coaster was created.
I begin with stamping the background with the Soft Pool shadow ink on a piece of A4 paper.  Good thing about this shadow ink is quick dry and not watery.  They come in 8 very nice soft colors and your can get it now from Hero Arts.
After completed the background, I pasted it on the coaster and started the 2nd layer of stamping which is the concerto background.  I used Turquoise color from Ancient Page, so you can see the two stamping with different colors.
And come the last one which is the Seahorse image and the wording of "By the sea, by the seam by the beautiful sea.  I used Deep Lagoon from Versfine for the Seahorse to stand out the image.   And here is the beautiful sea...

This is the most simple one.  I used the Twilight from Brilliance, stamped it and pasted it on the coaster.  This is the lasted rubber stamp from Hero Arts.
Secret Santa

Tag You're It - Week 38

I did this for Magic because she likes to travel. I used Hero Arts travel stamp for this stamp and distress it with Vintage and Old Paper to make the tag looks old.  I also add on the crackle accents to enhance the vintage feel.
I hope she will like it.

She is going for holiday soon...which is coming Christmas Eve, I wish her Merry Christmas and all the best for year 2009...and of course...Your Prince Charming is on his way...

Crown Collage

Yes, this is the new stamp from HeroArts...
I just like the crown and I used Brilliance - Peacock to stamp it on the coaster.
The effect is so nice and I no need to add any other stamping on it.  But I did try the old letter writing stamp on it with the new shadow ink-Soft Sand from Hero Arts.

After the ink dry I finished it with a few different colors Stickles to decorate the crown.

And here is another series of the coaster...is easy and simple to make them..
4 Seasons

After I sold off the Winter Sonata Coaster, my friend requested me to make another series for her so that she can present it to her aunt as a Christmas gift.

I try to make it into a set of 4 and out of sudden my mind came a across about making a 4 seasons, this also have to thank Christine from JDA because she also help me to get ideas.

Here after a long mid-night work, here is my 4 Seasons...

Spring
Summer
Autumn
Winter
I just like the colors that represent each seasons...
Ink that I used are both mixed with Distress Ink and Versafine for each seasons.
Winter Sonata

At last I use this Fantasy stamp from Penny Black to make this coaster.  I put a layer of crackle paint on the pattern paper then follow by the concerto stamp from Penny Black after the paint dry.  This time round I used white embossing powder on the tree so that the whole image will stand out from the background.

I like the combination of the crackle paint and the embossing effect, you see the tree truck, it looks so lively and so real right?

I did 8 of these coaster and all have been sold off immediately after I show it to my friend.  I got another order afterwards where I just completed last night.  I will post it out shortly.

Christmas 2008

These are the small little gifts that I made for my work colleague as a Christmas gift, a coaster notepad holder.  I did all these a few month before and now I just completed with the ribbon and the stamping.  They are all ready to be wrapped and give away by next week.

These notepad holder is very handy and easy to carry around, I hope they will like it as well.

Time is flying...and I left with a few that have not completed.  Hopefully buy next week I can finished all my handmade gift.

Happy Monday...

I'm looking forward to Monday and finally is Monday today.  Why?  This is because I'm going to peek at the new Hero Arts 2009 Stamps.

So after having a quick lunch, I rushed down to JDA and have a look on the new arrival stamps.  Once I stepped in the shop, Freddy said that he got something for me...guess what?  Is a new Hero Arts 2009 catalog...and he just gave it to me as complimentary...WOW...

Oh my...I'm so excited and can't wait to view it.

While I'm at JDA, I had make up my mind for a few items and had get Freddy to reserve for me.  I'm starting to think about the project that I'm going to do with all this new stamps.

Hopefully I can decide the items that I want by this 2 days and I'm looking forward to do some new project for Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day.

Am I too fast?...mmm...well I don't think so, Chinese New Year is just less than 2 months.

Lighthouse Card

ABC Challenge - U is for Underneath

I did this Lighthouse card is to match with the 4 coaster that I did before for Jo.  She needs a card to go along with.  I using almost the same distress and stamping method as before.

I used the mask to create the wave like background and add on the old letter writing stamp from Hero Arts.  I hope that Jo will like this idea as well.
