Not a Blue Monday...

Today is not a blue Monday for me...I'm in a very good mood today because I'm going to meet up with Ying.  This is the first time that we are meeting each other and guess what...our meeting place is at JDA... :-)

I have a wonderful evening with Ying.

I received a box of floral embellishment as well as some Magnolia stamped paper and a handmade card form her...I'm so excited and started to plan for my next creation...

I did something for her as well, I gave her a 2009 dairy with hand decorated cover.

I'm so lucky that I get to know her, she is such a wonderful person...

I really can't wait for my coming off day to start my new project...

Baby Shower Gift

This is a very lovely baby shower gift, right?

Jo, my friend was the who did the hanger and she is also very talented in handicraft.  She did this for her friend's baby shower.  I like her idea and it is simple to do...

You might have a question that where did she find such a cute little hanger.  She got the hanger from Daiso and is only $2 per piece.  After add on the pattern paper and ribbon, the hanger looks so gorgeous...

There are many simple things that we can turn into a very beautiful gift, and you can lots of idea through Internet.  The more i browse through the website the more idea I can use.  Other simple stuff like beer coaster, match box, water bottle and so on also can make into a wonderful gift.

If you have any idea you may share yours as well, I always welcome you...

My College Friends...

First started from Chok Kwan, she found me on FB and after that followed by Chin Yee, Calvert, Kok Seng, Poi San, Yap, Lee Lee and hopefully more to come.  Yes! I'm going to KL to meet all of them and hopefully Aziz will be joined in as well.  What a big gathering for BTH21 this time.

Other than Aziz and Yap, I have not seen most of them for more than 10yrs.  I'm wondering how they look like right now, married? with children?...

So far I know Poi San is already mother of 3, but no clue for the rest of them.  The best part is my husband will be joining the dinner...

I'm looking forward to Oct, so many exciting things waiting for me...this including meeting Ying on 29Sep as well...

Looking forward...looking forward and looking forward...
Crochet Sock

Out of sudden I have a thought of the crochet sock that I made for my friend, Magic...yes I call her Magic cos she always live in her magical world.  I did this for her birthday last year.   It took me  about 3 days to complete the pair and I was happy with the result.  She was so happy after received this handmade gift from me.

I still kept the left over yarns and it was enough to do for another pair but currently I'm too busy with my work and paper craft, I really hope that I can made another one for someone else...mmm...who will be the next one on list????

It seems like 24 hours are not enough for me...sigh...

Magic's birthday is coming soon and I'm planning to do something for her as well.  I have to start her project by this weekend otherwise I will be on leave already...OK Magic, this year I will give you another surprise ok?

Big Wave...

Another birthday card request by friend.  I traced the whale from one of the card making magazine...I think this one should be from Paper Craft.

I like the paisley, that is why I went to JDA and bought the dies with the rub-ons.  Both of the dies and rub-ons are from QuicKutz and they are perfectly matched...I used the dies to make the different size and color of the paisley, after that I choose the matching rub-ons with different patterns and shade to rub on the paisley...

The effect of the paisley looked like the wave...and that was the effect that i wanted.  This is first time I used lots of rub-ons in card making...well...Good Try right?

The alphabet set are from QuicKutz as well...

F1...is coming...

What is this?  This is the 3D poster that I did for my team...I just completed this afternoon for the team challenge...
This is the 2nd team challenge for this year...yes, is about the metrics and figure challenge...well...lets work for the BEST man!!!

When I take a second look at the picture, it makes me think of Mr. Butler cutting the grass...
Butler you are so cute and everyday I must call your name from my cubicle...I just like you to be seated in front of me...mmm...why...cause you can serve me better...kekekeke...

And of course I'm not forgetting my dear King...without him I can't workout the piece..."the printing" ne...

Graduation Card...

I got an order from my friend to make a graduation card for her girl friend.  The first thing that came to my mind was pink color...and yet this was the color that she requested for...ah ha...Bingo!!!

I went back and search thru the pattern paper and I found this one, and it was so matching with the red cardstock...
I like this Penny Black stamp so much...she is so cute right?...the ballet dancer...
I used Carl border punch on the left and the Quickutz 12" wave border die to cut out the wave shape to enhance the page.

I put in lots of stars...yes, this was suggested by my friend as stars to her are represents success...
I hope that her friend will sail smoothly in her career as well as personal life...

I feel it...

Thank god after measure by Dr. Ng, the blood pressure has gone down quite a lot...but she still feel a bit giddy.  Dr. Ng gave her a jab to stop the giddiness plus some add-on medicine to follow...

On the way back, I looked at my father and mother, just look into their eyes and I felt so touched by them...the face that i so familiar with...I will definitely miss them when they leave me...

I treasure every moment that I spent with them cos I know they won't be with me forever...

I love you daddy, I love you mummy...

don't know why I feel it so deeply today...

Swing Card...Farewell to My Friend...

This was my first swing card that I did...it is kind of like a last mins card that I made.  I watched the tutorial from youtube and started to match the color with the pattern paper that i just bought.  My friend was moving to another country with her husband, so I had chosen a pattern paper with some houses.  I put the swinging "sun" on top of the houses...a message to her...wishing her having a "warm" house like the card...

This was one of my favourite card that I have made...

The video here is to show how the sun swing...I really like it very much and it was fun to play with...

paper used: Heidi Grace Designs - A little bird's tale

die cut: KCK Kutz - Floral08

Finally

You know what...I finally managed to make up my blog look nicer, with the nice background, adding different gadget and so on...phew!!!!
Such a hard way to do lot of trial and error and yes at last I did it...

Is celebration time...yeah...!!!
Hubby's Birthday 21Sep

Today is my dear husband's birthday... Happy Birthday to you, Dear.
He is sleeping now as he needs to go to work later... (Sunday still needs to work)...anyway i will wait for him this afternoon and celebrate together.  I have been doing card for people to celebrate birthday but I didn't do one for him.  He is not a romantic person but he is a sincere person...that why i like him.

We went for a good dinner just now, it was an international buffet dinner at Omni Theater near Science Centre called Sakura.  Well, quite a nice food and we took lots of salmon sashimi ne...mmm...yummy...I should take a photo just now...what a shame again...

My 1st Time
I have started rubber stamping since 2 years back and i still consider new to rubber stamping and card making.  However nowsday there are so many ways to learn crafting and I keep learning from Internet, from friends and others...

Card making is a fun hobby for me as I like to make myself busy with something when I'm at home.  Before addicted to rubber stamping I was always busy with knitting, crochet, cross stitch as well as quilting...mmmm... sound like a person who knows lot of things ya...(in fact I just know a bit more than basic...what a shame...)

it really takes me such a long time to start this blog.  I have been thinking for more than a year but I'm lacking of confidence and a kind of lay back as well...But...now, I'm happy that I have made the 1st move...before is it too late for me...

Each card that i have made has a story behind and from now on i will record the story of each card so that i can keep this as a part of my treasure memories.

I would like to thank my friends who always give me support and encouragement and i really want this blog keeps going as long as my life journey...

License To Coach 2008

I had went through a tough training for the past three days.  This is tougher compare to the rest of the training that I had been through in my career life...

The training was called License to Coach 2008.

However this is the most beneficial and special to me...why?...Benificial in terms of changing my thinking concept as well as making me think twice before my action, to be a good coach, to be more prepared and so on...well...sounds great right?  How about special, yes it was special because this was conducted together with another 3 countries, United State, Japan and Ireland via conference call.  We can be seen by web-cam and the interaction was there.  I learned a lots from here and yet this is not ending yet as all the things are just to begin after this training.  Anyway thanks to all my bosses for giving this opportunity to me as well as Missy, Jason and David from State and also not forgetting Adrian from Cork, Ireland.

I was giving a book each day after the training.  The first one i got was The Radical Leap, A Personal Lesson in Extreme Leadership by Steve Farber.  Second one was more interesting, The Art of Possibility by Rosamund Stone Zander and Benjamin Zander.  The second book needs more thinking and times to digest and I'm not too sure whether i can complete the whole book...hopefully i can use the travel time to read and think when I'm on the bus.  The third book was from Ron Kaufman, this time is not Up Your Service but something easy to read, is about some quote from famous people.

After the training on Friday, the six of us was invited to have dinner with bosses...well... to celebrate our "graduation"...mmmm...sounds better right?  We had an Italian cuisine, foods was good and we had a great evening.

Overall it was a fruitful training and i am preparing myself to take the challenges from my immediate boss...this time sounds more stress right...well...this is life
